A Blessed New Year!

Isaiah 55:10-13
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Greetings My Beloved!

I hope you are having a fabulous week! We are wrapping up this Isaiah 55 message this week. Isn't it so encouraging to have such a blessed word to start out the new year!. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in stored for us all. Isn't it awesome, How God's word never comes back void! How his promises endure forever! Why then, are we so quick to discredit God, or put our faith in someone or something else? I've noticed how many times I've been let down, simply because I put my faith in someone else rather than God. God is in control of our lives, as long as we trust Him. What has the Lord promised you lately? Don't think that your prayers have gone unanswered, it may just take time for you to be in the right place to receive His promises.

On Sunday, the pastor spoke about blessings, and said that blessings and adversity are not polar opposites. James tells us in James 1:2-4, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." I truly believe, that 2013 is going to be a year of blessings and fulfillment. Things not turn out as we planned, as remember from last week, God's ways are not our ways. But I truly believe He intends it for our good, Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." What do you think God has planned for you this year? I believe our mourning will turn to dancing, and that the joy of the Lord will be instilled in us! I think that what was intended ill for us will turn good. Last year was a year of walking through the valley of the shadow of death, but we learned so much, our faith increased, and we are in a new place with our relationship with the Lord. We shall see what 2013 brings, but it seems that instead of the thorn, a cypress tree will come forth, and instead of brier, a myrtle tree. In other words, instead of fear, we'll have peace from God, instead of sickness, we'll have health, and instead of curses, we will have blessings. I truly believe that this is the year we will, "go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands"
