Psalm 37:3-7
Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him
Good Morning, my Beloved,
I trust you are having a wonderful day, and an amazing week. I have been spending my week in a lot of deep thought. Thinking is good, but be cautious not to let it consume you. I have a feeling that I was on the verge of consumption, when I realized, God is in ultimate control. We are in a new year, and my thoughts were mainly on the unfinished - the unanswered prayers, the uncompleted goals, and the unfinished tasks. Why do I always feel that I am never enough, do you ever feel that way? Perhaps it's because I try to do everything and anything in a finite time constraint. So, part of my goals for this New Year, is to rest in His amazing peace, realizing full well, that God is in control.
So, why do my prayers remain unanswered? I
know that God is full well of doing the impossible, and I trust fully in Him
(or at least, I would like to think so). Can God hear my prayers, are my repetitive
prayers lacking content, and sound like a broken record - so much that it is
tuned out? Perhaps God is trying to teach me patience, or perhaps He is
answering my prayers, just not in the way that I would like them answered. Have
you ever had these thoughts on the long time awaiting for a prayer to be
answered? Let me assure you, that God fully well hears your prayers. He loves
it when you talk to Him, so much so, that he collects your prayers in golden bowls:
Revelation
5:8
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four
living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each
having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the
saints.
So,
if God hears our prayers, I suppose the fact that He is tuning me out is the
reason my prayers go unanswered. Perhaps it's a faith thing? Do I really trust
in the Lord with all of my heart? Do I know full well that God will answer my
prayers in His timing and His way?
Luke
1:45
Blessed is she who believed, for there will
be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.
What happens, when God has answered our prayers, but it's not the
answer we were looking for? Have you ever prayed for the healing of a loved
one, only to have them taken from you before you are ready? Have you ever had
the worst nightmare become a reality? It's not always fun to go down this path,
but sometimes it is much needed. It makes you wonder, when your world is
falling down around you, how can this work out for my good? The Bible says in
Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to those who
love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. However, how can the
valley of the shadow of death lead to good? We have to get out of the tunnel
vision, the vision of the here and now, and look at the eternal perspective.
That is when you see the good out of the bad. Sometimes, it is the choices we
make... we have to live through the consequences of our actions, so if we ask
God to take away the consequences, it may never happen. There is hope though,
but sometimes, the answer to our prayers is right before our face, but because
it is not the answer that we want, we don't see it.
Take a moment, and allow God to speak to you. Delight yourself in
Him. Psalm 37 tells us that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will grant
us the desires of our heart. Perhaps, we have to allow Him to transform us in a
way that our desires are His desires, only then can we really live. Allow God
to tear away your hopes in dreams, so that His hopes and dreams become a
reality for you.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I love you all, and I pray that you will find the answers God has
for you in your prayers.
Christina
